If you are running a Merc outboard.. Check this out...
If your running a merc and your fuel line has
red lettering on it, it is an old style without the alcohol resistant lining.
This is occurring only in Mercury engines.
If the fuel line had red lettering, this line has the liner. Supposedly Merc has a fuel line with a liner and it only takes
about 16-18 months to break down.
If you have red lettering on your Merc fuel line you need to get it checked out!
