Winter Bass:

The bass’ metabolism slows during the winter and won’t change until the water warms in the spring. Bass won’t spend too much energy chasing bait so all of your presentations need to be focused on getting very close to the bass and moving very slow to make it “easy” on them. Jigs and plastics are the standards and both can and should be fished very slow. A drop shot that stays in front of the bass or a Carolina rig is a good choice. Keep all colors in the “natural” range and size of the lakes natural forage.
