Fall Bass:
Fall is the time of year that bass think about winter. Just like a bear wants to fatten up for the winter so do bass.
Bass will start to feed after the first big cool down. Now this cool down will be different depending where you live, so we are talking about a 15-20 drop from the average end of summer temperature. If it was 80 most of October and now it’s the last week of October and in just three days it fell to 65 then the dinner bell is ringing! If it went from 75 to 50 and frost is on the way then it is definitely time to get to work. Baits that resemble bait fish are your best choice. Chose natural colors like white, shad, white/blue combinations, some chartreuse is ok too. Spinner baits, Crank baits, lipless cranks and most all soft plastics will work the best.
